First Counter Espresso is an anonymous, independently operated editorial brand. There are no personal profiles, influencer partnerships, or sponsored placements. The site exists for one reason: to help first-time home espresso buyers make better purchasing decisions.

Why "First Counter"?

Your first espresso machine lands on the counter and changes your morning. This brand exists to make sure the machine (and grinder) that lands there is one worth keeping — not one you'll replace in six months.

Editorial method

• Grinder-first philosophy. A good grinder paired with a decent machine beats an expensive machine with a mediocre grinder. Every time.
• Honest trade-offs. Every product does something well and something poorly. Both sides get documented.
• No fake reviews. Consensus is never manufactured. If a product hasn't been evaluated, the site says so.
